Email Engagement ReportThe ElectionsOnline voting system may be configured to send emails to voters on the start date of an election informing them that voting is open and providing a link to the ballot. For years clients have had the ability to download a report of any emails from that mailing that went undelivered. That has now been replaced with a report showing full engagement.

Ballot VerificationTo complement the ability election managers have to perform election verification against the entire collection of ballots in an election, individual voters now have a ballot verification wizard they may step through to be absolutely certain their ballot has been captured; has not been altered in any way; and is being included in the election results tabulation.

Voter Roster Downloads There is nothing new about clients having the ability to retrieve their voter roster for an election at any point during or after an election, but there is something very new about how that roster is now generated and the fact that all downloads are archived for the duration of an election so they may be retrieved well after their original creation.

Candidate Biographies Switch to MarkdownCandidates have long been able to load their own biographies into the system, but the tool used for doing that has switched from a rich-text editor to Markdown. The switch completely resolves some issues with a rich-text editor and also ensures absolute uniformity across all biographies.

Ballot Column LayoutBy default, candidate names display in a 2-column layout. It helps reduce scrolling to view the candidates and also presents more candidate names in a single screen view. But election managers may override that default setting and display candidate names stacked vertically in a single column.

Hidden candidate namesConsider an election manager that favors one candidate over another. This manager views live election results; sees that their favored candidate is trailing; informs them so they know to campaign harder. ElectionsOnline prevents this by hiding candidate names on the result until the election closes.
